Continue through the scenic Ziz Valley, known for its vast palm groves and traditional villages, before reaching Erfoud, a town famous for its fossil heritage. From here, travel toward the edge of the Sahara Desert. Upon arrival, you’ll switch to camels and begin a memorable trek into the dunes, guided by local experts.
As the sun sets, watch the dunes change color and try sandboarding if you wish. Arrive at the desert camp in time for a traditional dinner, followed by Berber drumming and storytelling around the campfire beneath a star-filled sky.

Wake early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, one of the most magical moments of the tour. After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region by 4×4 or camel. Visit Khamlia village, where descendants of Sub-Saharan communities share their rich Gnawa musical traditions.
Continue across desert landscapes to visit an old mining site and learn about the region’s historical significance. Later, enjoy a visit with a nomadic family living near the dunes, offering insight into traditional desert life, customs, and hospitality. The afternoon is free to relax or explore before spending the night near the desert.
