Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Valley

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech and drive to the Dades Valley. This day we will drive through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N’Tichka Pass, where we can enjoy the fascinating views and landscapes. After a drive of several hours along various Berber villages, we reach Ouarzazate.

There we will visit the Kasbah Taourirt and the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is a World Heritage Site. After lunch we continue to Daded gorged, via the impressive Road of a Thousand Kasbahs and the beautiful Valley of Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna. This area offers wonderful opportunities for brilliant photos. In the Dades Gorges, visit the incredible rock formation “Monkey Toes”. Overnight in a hotel/riad in Dades.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Merzouga

After breakfast and leaving the Dades Valley, our next destination will be the Todra Gorge, where you will have a nice tour enjoying the panoramic views that the region offers and also hiking through the narrow and high cliffs. These features make Todra Gorge one of the best places for climbers.

Afterwards, you will head to the desert of Merzouga via the interesting town of Erfoud, known for its amazing fossils. From Merzouga you will start for a camel trekking to the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will ride on camels and be guided by a camel guide to the Erg Chebbi dunes, which have the highest sand dunes in North Africa. Above these high dunes you can enjoy the sunset.

Overnight stay and dinner will take place in a Berber tent. With Berber music around the campfire you can watch the endless starry sky.

In the morning you will be woken up by the camel man to see the spectacular sunrise over the high sand dunes. Then you will ride on the back of the camels to Merzouga.

After breakfast, your exploration today begins with a visit to the village of Gnawa. In this very old village, most people are originally from Sudan, Mali and Sudan. They came here years ago as slaves. You will also learn about the way of life of the people and listen to the spiritual Gnawa music. Later we will drive to the city of Rissani. It is the first dynasty of Alaouites in Morocco (the royal family). The city is known for its large soukd (traditional markets), which are a destination for the inhabitants of the regions and the country.

The day continues with the drive to Ouarzazate. On the way we will make some stops to visit the village of Agdez, the Kasbah Tamnougalt and the fascinating Draa Valley with its magnificent landscapes. Overnight stay in a hotel/riad in Ouarzazate.
