3 days tour from Marrakech to Fes via ait benhaddou

Day 1:
Marrakech - High Atlas mountains - Tizi N´Tichika Pass - Ouarzazate

At the airport/hotel, we will wait for you. Then we will make our way to Ouarzazate and drive through several towns. On the way, you will cross the impressive Tizi N’Tichka pass, which is 2260 meters high above the High Atlas Mountains. On this trip, you can enjoy the magnificent views and landscapes. And also see the unique Berber villages.

After a few hours drive, we will stop to visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. The Kasbah has been a World Heritage Site since 1987 and is a place that attracts many filmmakers from all over the world. Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Prince of Persia and many other movies were filmed in Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou.

After lunch in the village of Ait Ben Haddou, we continue our journey to Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa). Here you will have the opportunity to visit the film studios where you can see props used in some movies such as Jewels of the Nile and The Last Temptation of Christ. Overnight and dinner in a riad in Ouarzazate.

Day 2:
Ouarzazate - Skoura - Boutaghrar - Dades valley

After breakfast we will drive to the Dades Valley. This day we will visit Skoura Oasis, Kasbah Amridil and the beautiful Valley of Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna, where the Rose Festival is held every year in May. It is an opportunity to celebrate and show part of the culture of the region, including crafts and music. At the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, you will have the opportunity to take beautiful photos and enjoy the view before we continue to Boutaghrar, where you will meet friendly Berber families who still live in caves. After lunch, we will continue to Dades Gorge where you will visit the impressive rock formation and the very old Kasbah Ait Yul. Overnight in a hotel (dinner and breakfast).

Day 3:
Dades valley - Todra Gorge - Sahara

After breakfast, the third day will start with the drive to Todra Gorge, where you can enjoy the fascinating views and explore the high cliffs, which are an attraction for many climbers. Lunch will be taken in a local restaurant on the way. Afterwards, we will continue to Erfoud. It is an authentic and small town known for its fossil workshops that attract visitors. Then we will continue to Merzouga, where you will stay in a hotel near the high sand dunes of the Moroccan Sahara desert.

Day 4:
Merzouga area and the camel trekking

The fourth day of the TOUR FROM MARRAKECH TO FES is dedicated to visiting some places in the region of the Merzouga desert. Among them is the interesting village of Khamlia. It is an old village also known as the village of the blacks. The people there are originally from other African countries such as Senegal, Mali, and Sudan. In this village, you will have the opportunity to listen to Gnawa music and learn about the culture and way of life of the people.

Then we will continue our exploration and visit some nomadic families living in traditional Berber tents. Afterward, try medouna (Berber pizza, as some call it) for lunch with one of the families. After returning to Merzouga, you will have the opportunity to visit Rissani. Rissani is one of the first Alaouite dynasties (royal family). This city is unique with its towers and ksars. It is also famous for its cultural and large souks (traditional markets).

Afterward, you will be taken on a camel trekking to the Erg Chebbi dunes. The ride on camels from the village of Merzouga takes 1:30 minutes. You will have the opportunity to admire the panorama of the sunset over the highest sand dunes in North Africa. After reaching the tent where you will spend the night, you will be treated to a Moroccan sweet mint tea. After dinner, listen to the music and drums of the Berbers. And admire the fascinating starry sky in the Sahara desert. Overnight stay in a Berber tent.

Day 5:
Merzouga - Ziz valley - Ceder forest - Ifrane - Fes

In the morning you will be lucky enough to see the spectacular sunrise over the high sand dunes. Then you will ride camels and be guided by a camel guide to Merzouga. At the hotel you will freshen up and have breakfast. After that we will drive to Fes. The drive will pass through Errachidia and the fantastic Ziz Valley, where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the gorges, before arriving in Midelt. Lunch will be taken en route before continuing our tour via the Middle Atlas Mountains, the village of Azrou and the beautiful Cedar Forest where we will stop to enjoy the site and see Barbary Apes. Then we will continue to Fes where the tour will end.
