Day 1 of the Morocco 7 Days DesertTour from Casablanca to Marrakech: Casablanca- Chefchouen
We will pick you up from your home to start the Morocco 7 Days Desert Tour from Casablanca to Marrakech. Then we will drive to beautiful Chefchouen with a trip through many towns and a few stops along the road. Overnight in a riad/hotel in Chefchouen.
Day 2: Free day to explore Chefchouen.
After breakfast in your riad, enjoy a full day to immerse yourself in the beauty and calm atmosphere of Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City of Morocco. Wander through its picturesque medina where every alleyway is painted in vibrant shades of blue, creating endless photogenic corners to capture. Explore local artisan workshops selling handmade wool garments, woven blankets, and unique crafts, then stroll down to Ras El Ma where fresh mountain water flows from the Rif Mountains a relaxing spot to enjoy tea and watch the daily life of the locals. As the day continues, head to Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the lively center of the city, where cafés and restaurants offer delicious local specialties like goat cheese and traditional tagines. If you enjoy a short scenic walk, hike up to the Spanish Mosque for a panoramic view of the entire medina especially breathtaking at sunset. Chefchaouen s peaceful pace and charming streets make it the perfect place to rest, explore, and take in the authentic spirit of northern Morocco. Overnight in Chefchaouen with breakfast included.
DAY 3: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FES
We leave the charming Chefchouen and drive to Fes. Before arriving at the destination, we will stop on the way to visit a few places. First, Meknes city which has some interesting sights and monuments such as Bab Mansour gate, the Medina, Sahrij Swani and Square Lahdim. Then, continue to the Roman ruins (Volubilis). After exploring this historical site dating back to 225 BC, we continue to Fes. Overnight stay in a riad/hotel in Fes.
DAY 4: EXPLORING FES
On today’s Morocco 7 Days Desert Tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, we will take you to the sights of Fes, starting with the Medina, where many cultural and historical sites are located. Places like the Al-Karaouine Mosque, which is the first university in the world founded by Fatima El Fihri.
The day in Fes continues with a visit to the Tennaries and the Nejjarine Fountain. After lunch, continue to the fantastic gate of the Royal Palace, a walk through the Jewish quarter (Mellah) and the interesting pottery cooperatives. In the afternoon, a guided tour will allow you to enjoy a magnificent view of the entire medina of Fes. Overnight stay at the riad.
Day 5: Fes – Ifrane - Erfoud - Sahara Desert ( Merzouga/ Erg Chebbi dunes)
The drive on this day of the 7-day tour from Casablanca goes to the Sahra Desert after breakfast. It passes through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains with its fascinating views and landscapes. The first stop will be in the town of Ifrane (Switzerland of Morocco). In the big cedar forest we stop to enjoy the place and to see the barbarian monkeys.
However, the day continues until we make another stop in Midelt for lunch. Then we continue to Merzouga via the breathtaking and panoramic Ziz Gorge, Erfoud, Rissani and several Berber villages. Upon arrival at our destination (Merzouga), a camel trek to the spectacular dunes awaits you. You will ride on the camels for about 1:30 minutes.
The vast desert of Erg Chebbi offers wonderful views to take photos and watch the sunrise over the high sand dunes. Dinner and overnight in a tent. Afterwards you can sit around the campfire, listen to Berber music and admire the endless stars.
Day 6: Sahara Desert- Todra Gorge - Dades Valley.
The camel man will wake you up early enough to see the sunrise over the high sand dunes. Then you will ride camels back to Merzouga, enjoying the magnificent view of the desert. After breakfast and refreshment, you will continue to the Dades Valley, where you will visit the amazing Monkey Toes rock formation. Overnight stay in a hotel in Dades.
Day 7 & the last day of the 7 days tour from Casablanca: Dades Valley - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech.
Before we go to Marrakech, we visit many places on the way. We leave Dades and drive the panoramic road of the Thousand Kasbahs, which offers great views to photograph.
Then we stop to visit the beautiful Valley of Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna. A wonderful place to explore. Afterwards, we continue to Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) and take you to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou is one of the most valuable and beautiful sites of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has also served as a backdrop for many movies such as Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator and Prince of Persia.
After lunch, we will drive to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and the high Tizi N’Tichka Pass. On the way we can take a break to visit one of the argan oil cooperatives. In the late afternoon we reach Marrakech. The 7-day tour from Casablanca comes to an end.
